FTX claims: Creditors in Russia, China, Ukraine among those temporarily unable to participate
FTX has started repaying creditors, with over $16 billion potentially being distributed globally. However, creditors in several countries, including China (8% of customers), Russia, Ukraine, Nigeria, and Egypt, are temporarily unable to receive these payments. FTX is currently exploring options to address this. The initial distribution phase focuses on customers with claims under $50,000. Those who miss this initial payment window will have to wait until May 30, 2025, with the next record date for eligible claims being April 11, 2025.
