Bybit reveals real-time liquidation data after underreported figures
Crypto exchange Bybit has launched a public, real-time data feed of its liquidations, updating every 500 milliseconds, a significant increase from its previous rate of one update per symbol per second. Earlier this month, data provider CoinGlass reported $333 million in liquidations on Bybit, part of a total $2.24 billion market liquidation. Bybit CEO Ben Zhou disputed this, estimating total market liquidations at $8-10 billion, with $2.1 billion occurring on Bybit alone. Bybit claims this increased transparency sets a new standard for the crypto market. Despite other exchanges listing the Pi token, Bybit refuses to do so, with Zhou calling the token a scam.
