Demolish the Ministry of Finance! protest erupts in Tokyo, angry attendees say we are not your ATM
Around 1,000 people protested outside Japan's Ministry of Finance in Tokyo on Friday, expressing anger over government spending and economic hardship. This is reportedly the fifth such protest in Japan. Demonstrators cited issues like inflation, rising food prices, inadequate pensions, and government spending on overseas initiatives instead of domestic needs. Some protesters referenced the 2016 Moritomo Gakuen scandal involving falsified documents. While some Bitcoin advocates were present, their message of paying taxes in Bitcoin seemed contradictory to the protest's aims. The protest reflects growing public frustration with the government's financial policies.
