XRP News: Ripple CEO Reacts to SECs Decision to Dismiss Coinbase Case
Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong announced on X (formerly Twitter) that the SEC has agreed to dismiss its lawsuit against the exchange. The SEC sued Coinbase in 2023, alleging it offered unregistered securities. The agreement doesn't require Coinbase to pay fines or change its operations. The SEC hasn't publicly confirmed the dismissal. Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse reacted positively to the news. Some legal analysts, including attorney Jeremy Hogan and former SEC official John Reed Stark, believe this might signal a withdrawal of the SEC's lawsuit against Ripple. Ripple has until April 16th to file its response in its ongoing legal battle with the SEC.
