Amazons 24 Kuiper satellites successfully launched by SpaceX
Amazon's Project Kuiper successfully launched 24 internet satellites into low Earth orbit aboard a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket. This launch, part of a three-launch deal with SpaceX, brings Amazon's total satellite count to 78. The satellites were deployed at an altitude of approximately 465 kilometers and will be raised to 630 kilometers. Amazon plans to deploy over 3,200 satellites using over 80 missions. Prior to this launch, 54 Kuiper satellites were launched by United Launch Alliance (ULA) in April and June, all of which are reported to be healthy and fully operational. ULA will conduct seven more launches on the Atlas V rocket and about 38 missions on the larger Vulcan Centaur rocket for Amazon. Amazon plans over 30 additional missions through other launch providers, including Blue Origin, Arianespace, and SpaceX.
