This amount is significantly lower than previous estimates of over 200,000 Bitcoin. At a Bitcoin price of around $118,493, these holdings are valued at roughly $3.43 billion. The disclosure has sparked criticism from crypto industry leaders and politicians, with some suggesting the US has made a strategic error by selling off a large portion of its Bitcoin reserves.
