Whales and hackers are winning the Ethereum pump
Ethereum's price has surged, recently exceeding $3,400, leading to significant activity from large investors (whales). One notable buyer, Donald Trump's World Liberty Financial, invested $10 million in ETH and now holds $230 million worth. SharpLink Gaming also acquired a substantial amount of ETH, totaling $343 million over eight days. However, some large holders have sold off significant portions of their ETH, including Trend Research which cashed out $250 million worth and another whale who made $30 million on past trades by selling 98K ETH. Even a hacker from the Infini exploit sold some of their stolen ETH for nearly $6 million. Ethereum ETFs experienced record inflows, with $726.74 million on Wednesday, bringing total ETH ETF assets to over $16.41 billion. Currently, Ethereum is trading around $3,463, with a substantial increase in its 24-hour trading volume.
