Kaia, Tether, Kakao Pay and Line Next co-host hackathon to test KRW stabelcoin
Kaia DLT Foundation is co-hosting a hackathon with Tether, KakaoPay, and LINE NEXT to explore Korean Won (KRW) backed stablecoins and USDT on the Kaia chain. The event includes an ideathon focused on future KRW stablecoin initiatives and a hackathon using USDT on the Kaia chain. A total of USD 72.5 thousand (KRW 100 million) in prize funding is available, with support for launching Mini Dapps within LINE Messenger for top performers. Venture capital firms will be reviewing projects for potential investment. The event is open to anyone interested in stablecoins and Web3, focusing on areas like financial inclusion and payment innovation. Representative Byung-deok Min, who proposed Korea's Digital Asset Basic Act (2025), will give a speech at the awards event.
