BNB Chain Targets 20,000 TPS and Native Privacy in 2026
BNB Chain is planning significant upgrades to its blockchain network, aiming to achieve much faster transaction speeds and improved user privacy. By 2026, they want to handle over 20,000 transactions per second with very quick finality, rivaling the speed of centralized exchanges. Recent improvements in the first half of 2025 have already reduced block production time and transaction finality, leading to higher transaction volumes and lower fees, currently around $0.01 per transaction. BNB Chain also aims to integrate native privacy features and wants to support over 200 million users, positioning itself as a core infrastructure for Web3 applications.
