Ripples XRPL DEX liquidity spikes 75% in one month
Liquidity on the XRP Ledger's decentralized exchange (DEX) jumped 75% in one month, going from $14 billion to $24.6 billion. While part of this is due to XRP's price increase, most comes from new money entering the exchange. Although liquidity rose significantly, trading volume didn't increase at the same rate. The number of transactions on the DEX, however, increased by 23%. The ratio of buy orders to sell orders has become more balanced, suggesting increased participation from market makers. DEX trades now make up a larger portion of all XRP Ledger activity, reaching near yearly highs. This indicates the DEX is becoming more important for on-chain activity, but the market may be preparing for future growth rather than immediate speculation.
